Aaron London is a Software Engineer with a background in Photography and Anthropology. Together with the Speakers' Corner Team he will offer information about face recognition software and share techniques developed by New York City based Dutch Artist Adam Harvey on how to defeat face recognition software with a specific sense of fashion. 

 

Guitarist Davis Johnson will play for the hour.

With YOU, ACLU representative Anna E. Brower, Utah Against Police Brutality representative Lex Scott, Laban Movement Analyst Cadence Whittier, and former journalist Joe Bauman.

6:45-7pm

Well Contested Sites is a 13- minute dance/theater film that explores the issue of mass incarceration and the complexity of experiences faced by those who are incarcerated in jails/prisons. The film is collaboration between Bay Area performing artists, some of who were previously incarcerated, filmmaker Austin Forbord and choreographer Amie Dowling.  The piece was developed and filmed on Alcatraz Island.

Ryan Parker is poet, an independent artist, activist,and father. He is a Hip Hop artist, who's music content is very socially, and politically conscious. Poet has studied at UVU in various courses such as Philosophy, and Criminal Justice ... 'Viva Le Revolucion!'

7:25-7:35pm

Porridge for Goldilocks, the local interdisciplinary and improvisational arts collective - this time with guitarist Davis Johnson and and dancers Emma Wilson and Amy Freitas  will do a performance regarding human / animal rights.

 

 

7:40-7:55pm

Monica Remes, Dance/Performance/Video Artist and Michael Lewis Barker, Artist, Graphic Designer, and Musician will play guitar and sing songs for us!

 

8-8:15pm

Victoria Sethunya is an activist, poet, soloist, storyteller and author and will sing for us.

 

8:15-9pm

Speak up at our Speakers' Corner! Open Mic - Free and Uncencored Speech which does not have to be poetry!
